Massachusetts Act Early offers various events, including State Team Summit Meetings, Webinars and Trainings for health care professionals and early educators.

January 28th, 2022 Webinar for Head Start, Early Intervention, and WIC Professionals
Interprofessional Education on the Promotion of Parental Monitoring of Developmental Milestones.



January 28th, 2022 Schedule:
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am Part I: “Learn the Signs. Act Early”  Participants will describe how to support developmental monitoring using the CDC’s “Learn the Signs. Act Early” free developmental monitoring tools within their setting.
  • 9:45 am - 10:45 am Part II: Early Childhood Developmental Monitoring, Screening, Referral and Milestones  Participants will gain interprofessional knowledge about different state agencies and collaboration opportunities with early childhood providers. Participants will identify the process and key stake holders of the Massachusetts referral system. Participants will be able to identify healthy developmental milestones in early childhood for eating and dressing.
  • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Part III: Motor and Cognitive Milestones for Children  Participants will be able to identify healthy developmental milestones in early childhood for motor and cognitive milestones.
  • 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm Part IV: Social & Speech Milestones for Children  Participants will be able to identify healthy developmental milestones in early childhood for social skills and speech and language skills milestones.
  • 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm Part V: Attachment and Complex Trauma  Participants will be able to recognize attachment patterns in children and understand how early trauma impacts child development.
Participants who attend all 5 sessions will receive 0.05 CEUs.
